2024 Junior Rep Selection Information and registration

The Junior Rep Selection Program (RSP) is for players wanting to trial for the 12, 13 & 14 years DPNA Junior State Age teams.

REP SELECTION PROGRAM
Day #1: Tuesday 23rd January 6:00pm - 7:30pm (Skills session)
Day #2: Tuesday 30th January 6:00pm - 7:30pm (Skills session + game play)
Day #3: Saturday 3rd February 3:00pm - 6:00pm (Game play)

Players must be nominated with 2 preferred positions - please ensure that these positions are selected in consultation with the player. Please note, players may be trialled, selected or required to play alternate positions at the discretion of selectors or team coach.

Nominations close: Monday 22nd January 5:00pm

$60 program fee

REP SELECTION PROGRAM ATTENDANCE
Players must attend all rep selection program sessions. Players unable to attend due to injury must provide DPNA with a medical certificate and a "return to play" plan to be considered for selection. Any unexplained absences will result in the player being ineligible for selection. Any exceptions to this will only be considered on a case-by-case basis, taking into account individual circumstances. Players unable to attend any session for legitimate reasons must email repinfo@downeypark.com.au with this information.

All sessions will take place at the DPNA courts.

REP SELECTION PROGRAM OUTCOMES
Girls: At least three teams for each age group plus three training partners will be selected after trials, should numbers allow. Movement between teams will be possible until after the second representative carnival. DPNA aims to enter all three teams in each age group into the State Age competition, but final nominations are dependent on Netball Queensland.

Training Partners who have been identified with the talent to train with the teams at Rep level will be the first players to be considered for movement into the State Age Teams should a player withdraw for any reason.

Boys: The number of boys selected will depend on interest. Age groups may be combined.




JUNIOR STATE AGE CARNIVAL COMMITMENTS
1. Sunday 5th May: PRNA Junior Carnival, all day
2. Sunday 19th May: WDNA Junior Carnival, all day
3. Sunday 2nd June: DPNA Junior Carnival, all day
4. Saturday 29th June to Tuesday 2nd July: Junior State Age at DPNA!

JUNIOR STATE AGE TRAINING
Training for all Junior State Age teams will be on Tuesday nights from 6:00pm, starting Tuesday 16th April 2024.
