2026 DPNA Rep Umpire Squad EOIs Information and registration

Downey Park Netball Association is excited to announce the opening of Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for the 2026 Representative Umpire Squad. This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate and dedicated umpires to contribute to the growth of netball at a Representative level. Umpires interested in umpiring at Rep carnivals, Junior State Age, Senior State Age or GBNL in 2026 are encouraged to submit an EOI.

Umpires that are part of the DPNA Rep Umpire Squad will form the pool of umpires that are required to umpire at Rep trials, Downey Park takes to Rep carnivals in the lead up to State Age, represent Downey Park at State Age and GBNL competitions, help with umpire coaching throughout the season at Rep events and other DPNA attended competitions throughout the season.

SELECTION CRITERIA
1. Current and valid on court accreditation (as per Netball Connect records) – Nationally C badged or higher (exception - those umpires actively working towards their National C badge can also apply)
2. Ability - rule knowledge and application, communication
3. Fitness - Position, Vision, Timing and attendance at any compulsory S&C sessions and fitness testing
4. Commitment and availability on required dates and times (DPNA Rep Trials & Carnivals)
5. A valid Working with Children check (no check, no umpire) for those umpires aged 18 years+
6. Expression of Interest submitted on time
7. Must be able to provide own transport to and from all events

Further selection criteria for 2026 Junior or Senior Nissan State Age, as well as GBNL also applies:
1. Available to umpire at a minimum of 3 Rep Carnivals in 2026
2. Must be able to umpire &/or reserve at any GBNL round time
3. Can attend the NISSAN State Age Carnivals if required (own transport & accommodation required for Junior State Age, accommodation & transport provided by DPNA for Senior State Age)
4. A completed Expression of Interest does not automatically guarantee selection for GBNL or NISSAN State Age 2026
5. If selected, you agree that Downey Park is the primary Association that you will umpire for and preference is given to DPNA as a priority.
