2027 Junior Representative Trials Information and registration

The 2027 Junior Representative Trials are for players turning 12 to 14 in 2027 who wish to trial for DPNA's Junior State Age teams.

JUNIOR STATE AGE (JSA)
The Junior State Age Championships will be held at Sunshine Coast Netball Association, 3-6 July 2027. DPNA will not be staying away as an association.

LEAD-UP CARNIVALS
All teams will participate in at least three lead-up carnivals between March and June. One of these will be the DPNA Junior Representative Carnival. All carnival dates will be confirmed once participating associations release their 2027 calendars.

Trial #1: Sunday 8 November
Trial #2: Sunday 15 November
All trialists are required to attend both Trial #1 and Trial #2

Each age group will trial at a designated time. Please ensure you note the correct arrival time for your age group below.

Trial #1: Sunday 8 November
13 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
12 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
14 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm

Trial #2: Sunday 15 November
13 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
12 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
14 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm

Trial #3: Sunday 22 November
13 Years - Arrival Time: 7:30am / Trial Time: 8:00-10:00am
12 Years - Arrival Time: 11:30am / Trial Time: 12:00-2:00pm
14 Years - Arrival Time: 3:30pm / Trial Time: 4:00-6:00pm


All trials will be held at the DPNA courts.

ATTENDANCE
Attendance at Trial #1 & Trial #2 is compulsory. Trial 3 will be on a call-back by invitation only. Players who do not attend Trials #1 & #2 without explanation will be deemed ineligible for selection. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. If a player is unable to attend due to illness or injury, they must notify DPNA by emailing coaching@downeypark.com.au. In such cases, a medical certificate and/or a return-to-play plan must be submitted in order to remain eligible.

PREFERRED TRIAL POSITIONS
Players must nominate two preferred positions. However, selectors reserve the right to trial or select players in alternate positions based on team needs and player versatility.

$20 per player

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS
Age group squads will be announced via email on Friday 4 December 2026.
Following Strength & Conditioning and Skill Development Sessions, Final Teams will be announced on Thursday 25 March 2027.
Please note there may still be player movement until after the second lead-up representative carnival.

GIRLS TEAM SELECTION
A maximum of three teams (Red, Green & White) and three training partners will be selected in each age group. Red & Green teams will compete at Junior State Age and White teams will compete at Tigers Cup. Training partners, identified as having strong development potential, will be the first considered for promotion into the official teams if a selected player is unable to participate.

BOYS TEAM SELECTION
Selections will be based on the level of interest.

STATE AGE PLAYER FEES
TBC. For reference, 2026 player fees were $575 (Red & Green), $440 (White) and $265 (Training Partner).

SKILL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS
As part of our 2027 JSA Program, Strength & Conditioning and Skill Development Sessions provide an introduction to the Representative Season. Please note that attendance at these Sessions is compulsory for all selected players.
When: Tuesday nights, 5:30 - 7:00pm
Commencing: Tuesday 2 February 2027
Duration: 8 weeks (4x S&C Sessions and 4x Skill Development Sessions)

TRAINING
Team training will commence on 13 April 2027, with weekly sessions held on Tuesday evenings, 5:30-7:30pm.
